Reviewing my goals of 2015

On October 2012 I had this session with Matt Booth; Be Yourself Improve Yourself. At this workshop I need to make me a list of goals to achieve. Every time that you reach a goal you check it off, email him and write a new one. Do this yearly to check up on yourself. The second thing, mailing him, I did not do. I think I need to mail him, because I did check a few.

This was a rewritten one in 2015- there are 26 goals ?

Here we go ?

  • Freelance for better money – I can choose projects to work on
  • Hold on to my current job till I graduate – I stopped working at STVS Dec. 2019
  • Be proactive in making own news productions
  • Study abroad after graduation in journalism – Still process; but- I got selected for two programs April 2019 for the International Visitors Program- Edward R. Murrow fellowship for investigative Journalism and 2020-2021 selected fellow for the Hubert H. Humphrey fellowship
  • Travel for work and fun – not often, but yes!
  • Give lectures in journalism
  • Study to become a teacher
  • Read more intellectual stuff – I read more self-development books and mostly I talk with very intelligent people about their ‘boring’ interest as finance, leadership etc.
  • Write a plan of action for my own press agency – well, I started it but flake out.
  • Buy my own digital camera – Realized some mobile phones can do the same thing in the same quality.
  • Make a road trip to Europe final destination in New York – It is going to happen and also happened. With the IVLP 2019 our last stop was New York city ?
  • Do volunteer work – member of JCI, give dog food to the dog shelter
  • Learn a different language – there is an app called Duo Lingo
  • Be open, kind, honest and trustworthy – One of my values is Integrity, Loyalty
  • Be the next dean of AHKCO
  • Become member of the journalism union – Became a member and sat in the board, March 2020 I resign.
  • My own television production
  • Read everyday one page of a book by choice
  • Drink every morning water and through the day – This became a habit
  • Eat healthy cooked food – Finally getting there with plans and preparing
  • Watch every morning a motivational video or at night – More movies

So, let me tell what I did achieve after 5 years. That should be a measurement and it can make me proud.

In bold I will say how I achieved it.

Looking at it I am amazed, that I still did stuff, even if it is after 5 years.

Never be hard on yourself, because the things you once written down, they are still in your subconscious and you will do it either way.

Good luck. I am going to make adjustments on a few goals ?
