Retire at age 30. Especially when it’s not stressful. Life is good!

‘I want to retire at the age of 30, but I am not living that life and I am already 30’

Why can’t you retire at the age of 30?

She says she has the stress to make money.

For a person gets retired money and live a life stress fee.

That person doesn’t think of earning or making money. He/She makes the passive income.

This comment of a friends friend made me think.

How do I live my life?

But how does a retired life look like?

Most of our grandparents are retired.

Most people that works , retire at the age of 60.

I see retired people gardening, traveling , still working, doing a side hustle, pursuing the dream they waited during retirement or waiting to die either home or at a elderly home.

Some regret not living the life when they were younger.

Some are dealing with pain, sickness and other stuff.

I think the retirement, young people look for is, traveling and making passive income.

In my opinion the country I live in, is very easygoing and I want to state in a retirement vibe.

How?

This also was mentioned during a conversation and it is my observation.

The convo was about the Surinamese people and their lack of working vibe, their constant complaining other taking the job they deserve but at the same time lacking the discipline, and the attitude for different type of jobs. We kind of want it easy in life, because we got spoiled by our government.

We get stuff handed for us to keep our mouth and we aren’t raised to be self sufficient and take ownership of our actions.

You reading this shouldn’t come at me, just take the time to observe yourself and the people around you!

After 8months staying in the USA and being back I even felt I came back to my country to retire.

Haven’t you noticed that many people who have studied and work abroad buy pieces of property here and retire in Suriname.

Have you noticed that even the youth, some of them, are not focused on Suriname but abroad.

One because of the economic situation and two because we get the value of our investment in our study.

And at the same time live a very chill life, especially if you don’t live above your pay grade.

Most people here own their own piece of property to do some gardening or farming. Depends on how much acres a person can have or buy.

Most people just live in a rented house or apartment, depends if you move out of the house at 18 or 20 something.

I moved out of the house at 27, on my brothers birthday, Augustus 2, 2015. It is a relieve and to be honest I don’t need or want to live back with my parents.

Currently, I believe I am still feeling retired and working as a digital nomad.
