About PeriXcope, Up Close and Personal

A periscope is an instrument for observation over, around, through an object, obstacle or condition that prevent direct line-of-sight observation from an observer’s current position. The X is put as replacement for the S, because my first name starts with the letter X- this is also a mark!

Up Close and Personal was the name of my very first blog that I made while in college. It was a school project. I held on to this name for a while, because I will give/share something of who I am very close and personal.

The Cherry Blossom is for Renewal & Optimism in Life. In Japan it is commonly called Sakura. Cherry blossoms symbolize clouds due to their nature of blooming en masse, besides being an enduring metaphor for the ephemeral nature of life, an aspect of Japanese cultural tradition that is often associated with Buddhist influence, and which is embodied in the concept of mono no aware. The transience of the blossoms, the exquisite beauty and volatility, has often been associated with mortality and graceful and readily acceptance of destiny and karma.

The category list shows you where my interests lies; A note or scribble from my diary. I travel a lot to different places – meeting new people – tasting food – so, I like you to experience them with me. I LOVE movies – especially ROMCOMs and Musicals: A Thriller Action is where my detective’s skills come in, as a journalist. I do love some research and giving you a balanced story, but I also have an opinion and having a broad point-of-view gives me the opportunity to explore different perspectives and see the things how I see it. The world is to explore. YES, I can be bored with myself and the world so, I try to escape once in a while.
